I first came across Erika Stucky in the film Heimatklänge, about her and two other Swiss musicians, Noldi Alder and Christian Zehnder. It’s just one aspect but I like how she dives into her very local Swiss and American contexts and succeeds, to my mind, in digging up the universal that is contained in the particular.
